Taking the plunge (by Brian)

The title does not refer to the fact that I am learning to swim (but still sinking) while in Spain with a great pool at my disposal, it means that in the beautiful old town of Rhonda,while a classical guitarist was playing romantic music I asked Dawn to marry me. Dawn seemed overwhelmed (that's what I'm telling myself), started breathing heavily and didn't respond for what seemed like a long time, but eventually said yes. This was quickly followed by an expression that said "what have I just done", but before she could change her mind I slipped the ring on her finger. We are both very happy. We're now trying to sort out the logistics of getting married with my family in UK and Dawn's on the west coast of USA and Hawaii. Current thinking is two events (USA and UK), most probably in June 2009, quickly followed by filing for bankruptcy......

Our stay in Spain has so far been very special for us, we often ask ourselves if life can get better and over the coming months/years we will be doing all we can to make it so. Dazed looks immediately after my proposal!
